Nowadays, some weird unlock systems appear to be mandatory. Previously, Warhammer 40000: Dawn of War 3 requires the players to unlock special units and perks at the cost of “Skulls” which is a currency you earn by playing the game.
Recently they have introduced tons of faff and grind that hindered players from playing with all the options available. They had to earn skulls, spend them and then unlock those shiny items.
However, that is not more a part of the game…
Last week, Relic removes skulls and unlocked their items for everyone.
A good news!
Relic said, “After listening to how fans felt about the Skull system, and watching how players interacted with it in-game, we’ve decided to unlock all Elites and doctrines for everyone.”
He also mentioned, “We had intended for the Skull system to introduce pacing to the multiplayer experience, but we didn’t want this to come at the cost of barring advanced play styles to those ready to tackle them. You’ll still need to unlock Elite level rewards as well as those gained from campaign progress, but this will be a lot easier with an expanded arsenal of Elites at your command!”
In the beginning of 2017, Relic also added new multiplayer modes which was a good unlock for the players. Well, surely they have been taking step back and forward, though not the first time, we’ll continue to hear some more exciting news.
